A lot of times when we go through hard times we feel alone.
We feel like even though we open up and tell someone we trust what is wrong that they just don’t get it. It feels like no matter how much comfort or support we get from them that they just can’t understand how horrible or painful the thing we are going through is. And the truth is that it probably is true that they don’t understand. And it probably is truth that they won’t be able to help you the way you need to be help.
However, I do want to encourage you in this post. My goal is not to say that you will never be understood. In fact, my goal is the very opposite. I believe that Jesus Christ died on a cross two thousand years ago. I believe that he was sinless and perfect. And when he died on that cross he died for all the sins that we have done and will do. But why am I telling you this? The fact is that when Jesus died on that cross he FELT ALL the pain that you are feeling and much more. The struggle that you are going through he KNOWS what you are feeling because he felt it too. On that cross.
Welcome to today’s blogmas post! Today I will be sharing 5 of my favourite Christmas related Bible verses!! Now even if you wouldn’t consider yourself as a Christian or believer or this doesn’t really seem like the post you normally like to read, I still encourage you to read at least one of these verse!
Hello welcome back!! Can you believe we are literally 20 days away from Christmas!! 🥳 I am so here for it!! And Christmas break couldn’t come any sooner! I need it nowww anybody else with me?? No? Yes?! Alrighty well let’s get into today’s post!! A dessert!!
Good day ladies and Gents!! Today is day 4 of blogmas and I really need to start thinking about my intros… they are becoming repetitive! 🤦♀️🤷♀️😂 Anywho, on with the blog post!! Today is about my Christmas goals!!
Hi there everyone! My name is Elle, and I would like to thank the lovely Victoria for having a collab with me. Isn’t her website so pretty? Oops… I’m rambling. Let us begin.
Around four years ago, I was in middle school. It was a particularly awful time for me, and it reflected in my behaviour. The environment was toxic.
My mom and I decided to withdraw me from public school and start me online. Switching from public school to online school proved to be a different challenge, though not impossible. Before getting to the K12 school that I’m enrolled in, I was in another program. One that didn’t fit my needs. It failed that semester I was in that school; however, I passed the year because I passed the first semester in regular school with straight A’s
Now after four years, a new school system, and a game plan, I am finally confident enough to share my secrets to mastering online schooling. Or virtual education, whichever you prefer.
The busy days and the short years. The stressful hours and never ending due dates. The throbbing painful ache in my heart was never to stop and the peace I was so desperately longing for was far from my reach.
One day I broke. I shattered. I let go. I dare and did the one thing everyone dared not to do, I fell.
Today, is Clean Out Your Computer Day and in honour of that I thought I could “clean out” the best computer God has ever created: the brain; MY brain to be more specific. You see my brain has reached a stand still with writing. However, cleaning out my brain AKA writing what I am writing right now 🤪 will hopefully help me to get the creativity going again!
Gooooood morning everyone!! This was a topic I was really wanting to write about because not only would I give you guys my own insights from these verses but, it would also help me to remember the bible verses that I love so much. With that say here are my top 5 favourite bible verses! (ATM)
1. James 4:17 esv
“So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.”
I love how the only coma placed in this sentence is to really emphasize the consequence. God through the writer clearly explains that if you choose to disregard the truth -or fail to do it- then you simply are sinning. Now I know this is a strong bible verse to start with but, my hope is that this verse stands out to you as much as it did for me. I read this bible verse probably three or four years ago and God has really used it on me. I won’t lie at times I really did not want to know this bible verse, because of how horrible it made me feel but then I remembered that it is better to know that I am sinning and be able to ask for His forgiveness, instead of staying in an unknown sin.
2. Hebrews 13:8
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. “ esv
I just recently started to really meditate on this one, I love the truth that overflows out of these ten simple words: HE WILL NOT CHANGE. When I read it I feel God’s love come out of His words, surround me, and forever hold me in His never ending promise. (Sounds funny when I say it like that but that’s how I see it lol)
3. Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” esv
I do believe many of us have heard or read this bible verse at list once in our life. I chose this bible verse so that it could be a reminder that even when we feel like we’re going through hell God knows. The best part is that yes, He will use us for His glory but in the end that will give all of us a hope and a future! He will NEVER forsake us, because we have been chosen by Him. (Okayyy there i go quoting another bible verse haha oops, you get what I mean🤪)
4. 1 Corinthians 13:3-8
“If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.” esv
Ok you might be wondering “didn’t she say A bible verse meaning ONE verse?” Haha yeah well I kind of had to put these ones in here too lol. So I’ll try to make it short. These verses helped me a couple months ago, they reminded me that I needed to love with God’s love because if I fail to love, I gain nothing. When I read those verses (as if I hadn’t read them in a long time) God really brought me right back to Him and for that I am beyond grateful! ❤️
5. Psalm 119:11
“I have stored up your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.” esv
I really wanted my last bible verse to be this one. It helps me keep in mind to why I wanted to write this post in the first place; so that you guys could get something out of it and so that now that I have read, listed, and written about these verses that are dear to me, I will *hopefully* remember them better. The goal is to make Psalm 119:11 a truth; that I HAVE stored up His words in my heart that I might not sin against Him. I hope and pray that you do too.
Well those are my top 5 bible verses at the current moment. I hope you enjoyed reading them and learning from them (I truly did)!! If one of those verses stood out to you I would love to hear what you have to say in the comments. Or if you want to share one of your own favourite verses, let me know!!
