My Top 5 Favourite Bible Verses!! (ATM)

  Gooooood morning everyone!! This was a topic I was really wanting to write about because not only would I give you guys my own insights from these verses but, it would also help me to remember the bible verses that I love so much. With that say here are my top 5 favourite bible verses! (ATM)

@TheCozyPotato

 1. James 4:17 esv

     “So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.”

I love how the only coma placed in this sentence is to really emphasize the consequence. God through the writer clearly explains that if you choose to disregard the truth -or fail to do it- then you simply are sinning.  Now I know this is a strong bible verse to start with but, my hope is that this verse stands out to you as much as it did for me. I read this bible verse probably three or four years ago and God has really used it on me. I won’t lie at times I really did not want to know this bible verse, because of how horrible it made me feel but then I remembered that it is better to know that I am sinning and be able to ask for His forgiveness, instead of staying in an unknown sin.

Amen?!

@TheCozyPotato

 2. Hebrews 13:8

    “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. “ esv

I just recently started to really meditate on this one, I love the truth that overflows out of these ten simple words: HE WILL NOT CHANGE. When I read it I feel God’s love come out of His words, surround me, and forever hold me in His never ending promise. (Sounds funny when I say it like that but that’s how I see it lol)

@TheCozyPotato

 3. Jeremiah 29:11

   “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” esv

I do believe many of us have heard or read this bible verse at list once in our life. I chose this bible verse so that it could be a reminder that even when we feel like we’re going through hell God knows.The best part is that yes, He will use us for His glory but in the end that will give all of us a hope and a future! He will NEVER forsake us, because we have been chosen by Him. (Okayyy there i go quoting another bible verse haha oops, you get what I mean🤪)

@TheCozyPotato

 4. 1 Corinthians 13:3-8

    “If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.” esv

Ok you might be wondering “didn’t she say A bible verse meaning ONE verse?” Haha yeah well I kind of had to put these ones in here too lol. So I’ll try to make it short. These verses helped me a couple months ago, they reminded me that I needed to love with God’s love because if I fail to love, I gain nothing. When I read those verses (as if I hadn’t read them in a long time) God really brought me right back to Him and for that I am beyond grateful! ❤️

@TheCozyPotato

 5. Psalm 119:11

    “I have stored up your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.” esv

I really wanted my last bible verse to be this one.  It helps me keep in mind to why I wanted to write this post in the first place; so that you guys could get something out of it and so that now that I have read, listed, and written about these verses that are dear to me, I will *hopefully* remember them better. The goal is to make Psalm 119:11 a truth; that I HAVE stored up His words in my heart that I might not sin against Him. I hope and pray that you do too.

Well those are my top 5 bible verses at the current moment. I hope you enjoyed reading them and learning from them (I truly did)!! If one of those verses stood out to you I would love to hear what you have to say in the comments. Or if you want to share one of your own favourite verses, let me know!!

As always, thanks for reading!

20/20 VISION

Happy New Year! I know, it is already January 5th it’s crazy. Time is passing by and I needed to write this post, and when is it better to write than at 2 am in the morning when creativity strikes (I know, I’m crazy).

Anyhow, I knew I wanted to write this post, but I won’t lie I was having a hard time figuring out what I wanted to say and how to say it.  After lots of thinking I realized that I should just talk about the very own problem. Year 2019 was an interesting year; it made me happy, courageous, independent, sad, confused, and my faith was 100% tested! However,  I am very happy to say that 2019 is over and there are some goals and exciting events happening in 2020!  I have never been a person with resolutions. If you asked me I would immediately say I don’t have any because I see resolutions as something you start doing, but then February comes around and life gets back to how it used to be.  So instead of resolutions I like to set myself little goals, and if I feel like I have advanced in my goal at the end of year, even if it is just a little step I will be content. :))

So here are some goals I have given myself this year!!

  1. Don’t fight sleep. I know this sounds crazy but in this modern world, days can be truly busy, and over loaded with work. If I feel like I need to go to bed at 7pm then I’ll go to bed. Maybe I’ll wake up at 5am, who knows but at least I will have given my body its proper resting hours.
  1. Have more one-on-one coffee dates. This is a fun one, I really want to get to know my friends better on a deeper level. And what’s better than you me and coffee, to spill the tea. 😉
  1. Start running! I have never been a runner, and there are just somethings I’m looking for that can only be obtained by running. I have to start at a slow pace and make my way up. (When I say slow, I mean R E A L L Y slow, but that’s alright!)
  1. Listen to more music!!!!  This may sound funny but it’s true, music is such an important part in my life. It is how I destress, and connect to something better. Definitely a good one. :)))
  1. Stop P R O C R A S T I N A T I N G. This is one I have struggled with so much and I need to stop saying it and start doing it. A saying that comes to my head is “sometimes it’s not enough to just say it, sometimes you have to show it.”
  1. Journal more! I love to journal and I would love to get better at it, this year I want to set a side time to journal. :))
  1. Read the Bible. This one is less of a goal and more of a NEED. I have started a 1 year Bible plan on the Youversion APP. I am hoping by 2021 (wow that sounds crazy to say, ahhh) I will have read or listen to the Bible in its entirety.
  1. Drink more water. I do believe this one doesn’t need any explanation.
  1. Work on the blog. This one is for you guys! I’m hoping I can post regularly, I will be adding new categories to the blog very soon and I hope you like them. So stay toon for that! :))
  1. Be more kind and patient with my family. This one is definitely a small action but a very big impact.
  1. Read more books! I am currently reading Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. I am hoping I will venture deeper into book reading this year and who knows maybe find a side of that I never knew I had!!
  1. Pass my level 2 piano exam. This one is a bit more mandatory then a goal but I still wanted to write it down. :))
  1. Read to Learn. And Learn to Learn. What I mean by this is I have some awesome subjects this year. However, I really need to set aside extra time to really zero down on what I am learning, so that I can comprehend on a deeper level and ten years from now remember what I learned.!
  1. Walk my doggo more often. I’m not one to think “oh let’s go for a walk!” If I can walk my dog about 1 time a day that would be so good for me and my dog lol.
  1. Step out of my comfort zone more. There are many things that I want to do and all I need is an extra push to get my ideas started. 2020 is my year to do so.
  1. Learn to say no. This one is especially important, I may have this tendency to say yes all the time and that often sets me behind on my priorities.
  1. Last goal!!! I need to count my blessings even in the mist of my battles.

So there you go 17 goals for 2020. I choose 17 goals because I am turning 17 this year! There are also some exciting things happening in 2020 and I can’t wait to share them with you guys! Here’s to 2020 I hope you all had a very merry Christmas and an awesome time celebrating the new year to come! If you had any goals that you thought were similar to mine let me know, I would love to read some of yours in the comments below!! :))

Have an awesome day, thanks for reading! ~Victoria ❤

First Post :D

Words…easy? haha not to me, so why did I do this blog? Well, John Barrow once said

“if you never try, You’ll never know what you are capable of”  that pretty much why I started this blog.

So here is a little bit about me: crazy? yes! (its a long story), Homeschooled? yes! Animal lover? 100%!  Christian/Child of God? DEFINITELY  yes! Canadian? oops sorry! 😉  I’ll post  anything from animal related to baking to writing.

Welcome to my blog, a giant messy world of a crazy couch potato (that likes coffee, cats, and Jesus just a bit too much!)… well you can’t over love Jesus but you get what I’m saying!

just a crazy girl in this God-ordained World.   Thanks for stopping by!
